Lace: High Neckline
Let pretty lace details highlight your face! For a sweet, feminine vibe, find a dress that’s all one color, like this light blush. If you’re going for a more dramatic look, choose a dress with contrasting lace and fabric colors, like black and white.
Sequined: Embellished Bustier
Don’t go overboard with the embellishments this year! Instead of all-over sequins, find a dress that keeps the emphasis on top. A bustier is super-flattering on your midsection and bust, and minimal sparkle assures dress doesn’t steal your prom night spotlight!
You don’t have to be body conscious with a peplum layer, because it gives you a shape to show off! In addition to highlighting your amazing legs, peplum creates a pretty hourglass shape.
Curvy: Asymmetrical Neckline
Go for details that are slightly unexpected. Asymmetrical straps won’t change your look dramatically, but will definitely add a pop that flatters your curves. Plus, you don’t have to worry about wearing a strapless bra all night!
Vintage: 1920s Flapper
Channel one of the liveliest eras in America with a flapper dress that has pretty details and fringe! It’s totally vintage, and totally fun.
Flirty: Mesh Cutouts
What could be flirtier that a few peek-a-boos of unexpected skin? Just be careful not to buy a dress that shows off too much.
Strapless: Chiffon Layer
Elongate your favorite party dress with a chiffon layer. The longer overlay takes this gown from night-club-chic to elegant formalwear! Try a high-low or illusion skirt—either style is completely on trend, and perfect for your big night.
